How two shoots support a month of founder-led YouTube and shorts
The Václav Nedvídek production model: two shoots of up to two hours, four long videos, four extracts and four standalone shorts, with clear client responsibilities.
Číst českyTwelve outputs, three distinct formats
For Václav Nedvídek, the monthly mix is 4 long YouTube videos, 4 extracts from those episodes and 4 standalone shorts. These are three different editorial formats, not twelve copies in different aspect ratios. This is one specific engagement, not the default scope of every monthly package.
A long episode gives an idea room to develop. An extract takes a self-contained moment from the longer piece. A standalone short starts with its own topic and script for a short format. Agree that mix before filming so the shoot captures what the edit will need.
Before filming: expertise and editorial preparation
Václav supplies the specialist knowledge and scripts. We refine the material for camera and prepare production. The questions, arguments and conclusions need attention before the shoot; saving time on set must not mean skipping preparation.
We film in two monthly sessions, each up to 2 hours. This describes Václav’s time on camera, not the whole production workload. Technical setup, editing and publishing take place outside those sessions. The client also needs time for source material and approvals.
After filming: edit, thumbnail and release
We edit the episodes, select extracts and finish the standalone shorts. We also prepare thumbnails and publish within this engagement. The client approves the factual accuracy and direction; video feedback can be handled directly in Frame.io.
The case study includes a long episode about Alza, a short extract on the same subject and a standalone video on AI in finance. These are examples of the formats and production approach, not a promise of the same reach or sales for a different company.
In-house hire, freelancer or production team?
An in-house videographer can suit a business that needs daily availability and can manage equipment, direction and cover. A freelancer can be a good fit for a defined role or project with clear responsibilities and deadlines.
A production team can bring several roles—preparation, filming, editing and graphics—into one recurring engagement. It is not universally the cheapest option. Compare actual deliverables, your team’s preparation and approval time, and who owns each production step rather than relying on invented salary or ROI comparisons.
